Tuesday we celebrated the remarkable careers of two exceptional educators whose dedication and passion have left a lasting impact on the Wauka Mountain community.
Kim Payne has served with excellence for 31 years in education, including 19 devoted years at Wauka.
Jenni Lattanzi has dedicated 30 years to education, with 23 of those years spent shaping young minds at Wauka.
Their legacy of leadership, compassion, and commitment to students will continue to inspire generations to come. We are deeply grateful for their years of service and wish them joy, rest, and fulfillment in this next chapter of life.
Thank you, Mrs. Payne and Ms. Lattanzi, for all you’ve given. You will be greatly missed. Happy Retirement to you both! 🍎🐾❤️

Thanks to Georgia Organics and Hall County Master Gardeners, we now have a water feature in our greenhouse garden area that will provide water for all of the pollinators that visit! Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Introducing Her majesty, Ila the Compost Queen! Ila helped students learn all about composting. She designed her crown to be red and green to show what not to compost and what can be composted. When she saw her classmates putting non-compostable items in the table top compost bins, she had the idea of creating a presentation to teach kids what to compost.
